More touch questions

Here is another little test on touch. It is an easy one with little reading. In the first section all you have to ay is who throws in. In the second section all you have to do is say where the throw-in will take place.

There are still ten questions.

The teams playing are the Kalahari Crusaders and the Prairie Nomads

Section A

In each of the following cases say who throws in.

1. Wild Bill Sioux of the Prairie Nomads kicks downfield. Richard Gemsbok, the Kalahari Crusaders fullback, waits to catch the ball at the touch-line. He has one foot on touch when he catches the ball which has not crossed the touch-line.

2. Wild Bill Sioux of the Prairie Nomads kicks downfield. Richard Gemsbok, the Kalahari Crusaders fullback, waits to catch the ball at the touch-line. The ball crosses the touch-line but before it bounces Gemsbok sticks out his hands to catch the ball. The ball hits his outstretched hands and bounces in touch. 

3. There is a maul in the Prairie Nomads half of the field. It goes into touch spilling the ball. Neither you nor the touch judges knows who had the ball when it crossed the line.

Section B

In each case say where the throw-in is taken.

4. You penalise the Prairie Nomads just inside their half. Their flyhalf Louis Meercat kicks the ball out on the Prairie Nomads 22.

5. At a scrum, you award a free kick to the Prairie Nomads 17 metres inside their half. Their flyhalf Louis Meercat kicks the ball out on the Prairie Nomads 22.

6. At a scrum, you award a free kick to the Prairie Nomads one metre outside their 22. Their flyhalf Davey Apache taps the kick, runs back into his 22 and from three metres inside his 22 kicks the ball directly out on the half-way line.

7. From a metre inside his half, Wild Bill Sioux of the Prairie Nomads kicks downfield. Richard Gemsbok, the Kalahari Crusaders fullback, waits to catch the ball at the touch-line. He has one foot on touch when he catches the ball which has not crossed the touch-line.

8. From a metre inside his half, Wild Bill Sioux of the Prairie Nomads kicks downfield. Richard Gemsbok, the Kalahari Crusaders fullback, waits to catch the ball at the touch-line. The ball crosses the touch-line line three metres inside the Kalahari Gemsbok 22 but before it bounces Gemsbok sticks out his hands to catch the ball. The ball hits his outstretched hands and bounces in touch. 

9. Louis Meercat, the Kalahari Crusaders flyhalf, kicks diagonally just outside the Prairie Nomads 22. A metre outside his 22 Wild Bill Sioux jumps up arms extended to catch the ball. The ball strikes his hands and goes on behind him into the 22. Sioux runs back, gathers the ball and from three metres inside his 22 kicks the ball directly into touch 15 metres outside his 22.

10. The Prairie Nomads kick off, a high kick. Eleven metres from the half-way line, the Kalahari Crusaders lock Philip Eland, leaps into the air and heads the ball. The ball flies directly into touch, one metre inside the Prairie Nomads half.
