Bulloch to lead Scotland in Six Nations

Glasgow hooker Gordon Bulloch has been named Scotland captain for the RBS Six Nations Championship.

The veteran No.2 skippered the team in the autumn Test series against Australia, South Africa and Japan.

Now Scotland coach Matt Williams has asked Bulloch to take the armband again for the Six Nations.

"Its always an honour to play for your country, and so to be asked to captain the team again is fantastic," said Bulloch.

"The results during the Autumn Tests did not go as we hoped or expected, and we are absolutely determined to show what we can do during the Six Nations."

The 29-year-old became Scotland's most-capped hooker when he made his 53rd appearance against Wales in the World Cup countdown Test in August 2003.

He captained the team for the first time a week later against Ireland.

Bulloch also led the team in the 2003 Rugby World Cup win against USA.

He made a late entry to the 2001 Lions touring party, to cover injuries in the squad, and played as a substitute in the first Test win against Australia.
