Saracens start Taylor against Cats

Scottish international given new start

Simon Taylor completes a year-long comeback from injury when he starts for Saracens against south African Super 12 team the Cats at Vicarage Road tomorrow night.

Taylor was loaned from Edinburgh to Saracens for a week, in order to get some game-time, and will start in the number eight shirt in the friendly match
 
Taylor came on as a substitute in Saracens' win over Northampton on Saturday. He is another big name in a strong Saracens team for the friendly, which features Raphael Ibanez and Taine Randell among others
 
Taylor suffered a serious knee ligament injury in last year's Six Nations match against Ireland, but his comeback is nearly complete, and he is a contender for the British and Irish Lions tour to New Zealand in June.
