Perhaps, for the sake of rugby, it is better that this happened sooner rather than later. Evoking memories of that infamous night at Selhurst Park in 1995, Trevor Brennan decided that one fan had pushed the baiting too far in Toulouse on Sunday, and launched a rugby-type version of Eric Cantona's 'divine' retribution, landing - apparently - six punches to the head of Ulster fan Patrick Bamford.
