Barbados in need of shirt sponsor as RWC nears
The Barbados rugby team is in need of a shirt sponsor as it gears up for the final two 2007 Rugby World Cup qualifying games against the USA and Canada.
Barbados will meet the USA and Canada in a mini-pool with the winners going straight through to France and the runners-up going into the repechage.
The Bajans have already made it through three rounds of qualifying to get this far and are aiming to be as detailed and professional as possible to prepare for the forthcoming games.
Wing Bruno Greene, an army officer, has arranged for a fitness camp near Newbury in England from May 12, and then the team travels to Leicester for a week's training at the Tigers' Oadby complex, culminating in a match against the Tigers Development XV at Welford Road.
Aside from a £5,000 grant from the IRB, which barely covers the cost of the flights, the Bajan team has been entirely self-funding throughout its adventure.
The team is now seeking a shirt sponsor for both the tour and the matches in Garrison Savannah and San Francisco.
