The Confederation of South American Rugby (CONSUR) has drawn up the fixtures for the three countries' matches in July this year.
The one finishing top will go directly to the 2007 World Cup in France, as Argentina has been doing and is expected to do. That team will go into Pool D with France, Ireland, a qualifier from Africa and a qualifier from Europe.
On North America Canada, the USA and Barbados will be having their triangular qualification. The team coming first will go directly into the 2007 World Cup in Pool B with Australia, Wales, Fiji and the winner of the Asian qualifying round..
The team coming second in the north will play the team coning second in the south, possibly the USA against Uruguay. The winner of that encounter will go into Pool A with England, South Africa, Samoa and a repéchage team. The team losing that encounter will go into repéchage with the winner of a repéchage team from Africa vs a repéchage team from Europe.
The team coming third in the South American Championship will be eliminated from the World Cup.
