Saracens size up Alan Gaffney

Kirwan and Meville also in the mix
Saracens have interviewed former Munster coach Alan Gaffney and confirmed him as a contender to become their new director of rugby.
Reports also indicate former Italy coach John Kirwan and experienced director of rugby Nigel Melville, who has held the position with Wasps and Gloucester, are in the running.
A decision is expected before the end of the week.
Gaffney has been out of the game since losing his job on Australia's coaching staff in December.
He had a short stint as an assistant to Eddie Jones, who since being axed by the Wallabies has successfully turned around Saracens' season as caretaker director of rugby.
Jones is due to return to Australia once Saracens appoint a full-time successor to Steve Diamond, who was dismissed in February.
"I can confirm that Alan Gaffney was one of the people we spoke to," Saracens boss Mark Sinderberry told the Guardian.
"We are in the process of finalising who our new director of rugby will be and we expect to be making an announcement within the next couple of days."
