France's fresh injury foible

France may have to face Australia and Canada without the inspiration and creativity of Christophe Dominici, after the Stade Français winger was ruled out of three weeks' rugby with injury.

Dominici suffered a twisted knee and strained ligaments during his side's 29-15 win over Toulouse in the Stade de France on Saturday.

After undergoing an IRM scan on Sunday, Dominici was informed that he would definitely miss a fortnight, and could be out for up to a month.

The French selection committee is due to meet on October 25 to choose the squad for the forthcoming Tests - and it may decide to leave Dominici out altogether.

Not only is it a blow for France, but also for his club. Stade travel to the Regional Rugby Stadium to take on the Ospreys this coming weekend, and the following weekend they welcome Leicester to the Stade Charléty in Paris. France play Australia the following weekend, which is Dominici's ealiest possible comeback date.
