King ruled out of Churchill Cup Final

Mallinder rings the changes for Maori meeting

England 'A' coach Jim Mallinder has made five changes to the starting line-up for Saturday's Churchill Cup final against New Zealand Maori at Edmonton's Commonwealth Stadium.

Starter: David Walder starts at fly-half

Dave Walder replaces the injured Alex King at fly-half, while George Chuter, Will Johnson and Paul Sackey come in for Matt Cairns, Pat Sanderson and Michael Horak respectively.

The fifth changes is positional, with Dan Scarbrough move from wing to fullback.

"Selection was very tough because a lot of the players did extremely well against Canada at the weekend," said Mallinder.

"Sometimes you have to go with your gut instinct and, taking nothing away from the players that started, we were impressed by the performances of the players who came on.

"Alex King took a knock to his knee and although we have had it scanned and it is only a bruised bone, he unfortunately won't be right for this weekend."

England: 15 Dan Scarbrough, 14 Mark Cueto, 13 Jamie Noon, 12 Henry Paul, 11 Paul Sackey, 10 Dave Walder, 9 Martyn Wood, 8 Hugh Vyvyan (captain), 7 Andy Hazell, 6 Will Johnson, 5 Louis Deacon, 4 Alex Brown, 3 Will Green, 2 George Chuter, 1 Mike Worsley.
Replacements: 16 Micky Ward, 17 Mattt Cairns, 18 Richard Birkett, 19 Pat Sanderson, 20 Peter Richards, 21 Kevin Sorrell,  22 Mike Horak.

Kick-off: 18:00 (00.00 GMT)
