Ricky Januarie has been withdrawn from the Springbok end-of-year tour squad after sustaining an injury during Saturday's Currie Cup final in Durban.
The Western Province player suffered an injury to a knee during the first-half of the match. He was examined by Springbok team doctor Craig Roberts following the final and the injury was assessed as being serious enough to mean he would be unfit to take any part in the tour.
No replacement has been named as yet. The medical team will assess the extent of any other injuries once the squad assembles in Johannesburg.

PerhapsJanuaries' misfortune provides an opportunity for Charl Macleod to be selected. He showed class, speed and efficiency in the Currie Cup final. He also has the experience of playin (well) with Lambie.

Sorry Tiekie Ricky, you were anyway just there to fill the quotas... Now bring in a player based on true form. Black, yellow or pink as long as it is the best man for the job. Chilli pull a hammy please!
