Australia's last-gasp win over South Africa in the Tri-Nations has not only helped them to break their Highveld hoodoo, but it also secured them second place in the IRB Rankings.
Full-back Kurtley Beale slotted a 56-metre penalty after the hooter sounded at Bloemfontein on Saturday to help Australia to a 41-39 victory - their first win on the Highveld in almost 50 years.
The Wallabies' win not only ensured that the Boks finished the tournament with the wooden spoon, but it also helped them to pip the hosts to second place in the latest rankings.
South Africa were 2.23 rating points ahead of the Aussies before kick-off, but now find themselves 0.84 points behind the Wallabies.
The rest of the top 10 remains unchanged with New Zealand - who will again be in action this coming weekend when they take on the Wallabies in Sydney - now enjoying an 8.25-point advantage over their Bledisloe Cup rivals.
IRB World Rankings:
1 New Zealand 94.29
2 Australia 86.04
3 South Africa 85.22
4 France 82.75
5 Ireland 82.03
6 England 81.82
7 Scotland 79.81
8 Argentina 79.70
9 Wales 78.58
10 Fiji 74.39

You are going to hate this Justice but the Aussies haven't moved up the Bokkes have moved down. Good on you Oz but I still can't see you being better than the Bok's week in week out. The Bokkes cannot get any worse so let's look at this in perspective.

Well done Oz. We'll be back to contend and take it back when we've fixed a few problems, but in the meantime, you deserve it!
