South Africa's back-up pivot Butch James did not train with the squad on Monday and remains a major injury doubt for the Springboks ahead of their encounter with Australia in Bloemfontein.
The Bath fly-half picked up the knock after replacing Morne Steyn for the final 15 minutes in Pretoria and is set to undergo further scans before the nature of his injury is made public.
Prop Jannie du Plessis and lock Flip van der Merwe were also absent from South Africa's training session on Monday, however both players are expected to shake off their niggles in time for the Vodacom Park clash.
Meanwhile, flanker Dewald Potgieter, centre Wynand Olivier and wing/full-back Gio Aplon have been called into the Bok squad as cover by coach Peter De Villiers.

The big worry is that he may not be injured.

With the RWC only months away, Its really shocking to see Butch in the lineup, he surely is past his sell-by date, and there's plently of better players who should be considered ahead of him.

Let's hope that this is Grant's chance. Butch is barely good enough to play Currie Cup.
