Wellington's 'Cake Tin' sold out
Wednesday December 08 2004
'It's very exciting to see so much support'
The full house sign is already up for the Wellington leg of the 2004/05 International Rugby Board (IRB) Sevens series, which takes place on February 4 and 5. Tickets - for the tournament at Wellington's Westpac Stadium, or the 'Cake Tin' - went on sale to the public on Tuesday and sold out within the day. Tournament Director Steve Dunbar said: "It's very exciting to see so much support for the tournament. While it's disappointing some fans missed out yesterday, many are now on a wait list for any tickets returned before the event." Dunbar said fans can expect the 2005 tournament to be even bigger and brighter than this year's event.
