Venues for 2006 now confirmed
The 2006 Tri-Nations schedule has now been finalised after SANZAR (South Africa, New Zealand and Australia Rugby) confirmed that the Test between the All Blacks and the Wallabies in Auckland will be played on Saturday, 19 August at 17.30 (05.30 GMT).
The governing body also confirmed the contentious venue of the South African versus New Zealand fixture on September 2 - it will, indeed, be played at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg.
The venue was the topic of a heated debate in South Africa with the Sharks and Cheetahs contesting the awarding of the fixture to the Leopards, ostensibly done by controversial former SA Rugby Union president Brian van Rooyen to buy votes in the election which he eventually lost.
But Rustenburg has retained the fixture, despite the complaints.
