England are U18 champions of Europe

English beat the French in the Final

England won the FIRA-AER European Under-18 Championship when they beat France 16-9 at Stadium Lille Metropole, Villeneuve d'Ascq on Saturday afternoon. At half-time the teams were locked at 3-all.

In the curtainraiser to the final, Scotland beat Italy 10-6 to end in third place.
