    Canada

Northamptonshire GS - Toured Ontario for the second time with their netball team and thoroughly enjoyed the tour winning more than they lost. Even had time to catch the Canada vs France full international in Toronto.

    South America

Yarm School - Toured with their Under 17 side preparing for the forthcoming season visiting Santiago and Vina Del Mar in Chile, the onto Mendoza, Buenos Aires and Iguazzu in Argentina.  They played 4 games along the way as well as competing in the Belgrano Day School festival in Buenos Aires before having a well earned rest up at Iguazzu Falls.

Along the way the team lost narrowly to Redlands School and then drew 15 all with Vina Del Mar RFC in Chile.  The rugby in Argentina proved a little stronger with Yarm suffering defeats against Maristas RFC in Mendoza and Santa Teresa in Buenos Aires.  In the tournament they played a further 3 games winning one of three played.

    South Africa

Bradford GS - Bradford embarked on a major tour of South Africa with their 1st and 2nd XV squads to play a total of 10 matches on tour.  They had some notable scalps along the way including Wynberg School & Gill College however they lost the unbeaten tag in their final match at Pretoria Boys HS, where at altitude they lost out in a very close game. In the three week tour they covered Cape Town, Knysna, Port Elizabeth Pretoria and finished in Sun City for some well earned R n R.

Eagle House Prep School  - Took their rugby team on an extensive 16 day tour of South Africa taking in Cape Town, Garden Route, Port Elizabeth and Durban.  They had wonderful hospitality along the way and won more games than they lost.  They finished with a Safari in Hluhluwe.  They will return!

    Sri Lanka

Clifton College - In a first for an English School, Clifton embarked on a combined Rugby and Netball tour to Sri Lanka.  They visited Kandy, Colombo and Galle along the way playing games against the local schools. Clifton achieved 4 wins from 4 games in testing conditions.

HABS - departing on Sunday and will be playing the top two schools in Sri Lanka, Royal and Trinty plus they have two teams in the "Singer" national school sevens.

    Australia

Rydal Penrhos - Rydal Penrhos School took a mixed boys and girls group away playing rugby, netball and hockey. The group took part in the very successful Southern Skies Tournament on the Gold Coast where they came up against some stiff but friendly opposition. They also visited Sydney, Townsville and Cairns and enjoyed lots of sightseeing aswell as sporting fixtures.

Pates GS - Pates Grammar School came up against some tough opposition on their tour to Australia. After some very close defeats in Cairns and the Gold Coast the team came through and had a great win against Redfield College in Sydney. Despite the defeats the teams were well looked after at all the games and especially enjoyed the hospitality provided by Marist College, Sydney and All Saints Anglican School on the Gold Coast. One of the tour highlights was running into David Campese in Sydney and getting a free coaching session from him!

Cheltenham Bournside - Started in Sydney and worked their way up through the Hunter Valley, Grafton, Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast playing games as they went.  They ended up with a 3 wins from 5 games.  The wins came in close games vs St Augustines, South Grafton HS and Merrimac HS. Two defeats by Merewether and Mountain Creek did nothing to take away from a superb tour and saw a fitting send off to the MIC of Rugby Gareth Rees who has moved to pastures new after over 20 years at the school.

Colstons - Colstons Collegiate School travelled out with their 1st and 2nd XV teams. They visited Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Cairns and Sydney with matches in all destinations. The 1sts won all their games including a macth vs the NSW Under 17 team and the 2nds had some very close results coming back with a 50:50 record. All round the fixtures and after match hospitality was very well received. As well as enjoying the rugby the group found time to explore the Great Barrier Reef, the rapids of the Tully River, Sydney Olympic Park and the Dreamworld themepark. The group finished their tour with a couple of days relaxation in Singapore.

Stonyhurst - Toured Cairns, Toowoomba, Gold Coast, Sydney and had some RnR in Singapore on the way home.  Took a 1st XV plus a mixture of 2nd/3rd XV.  The first team won 4 out of 5 games, the 2nds 3 out of 5. The first team won a titanic battle vs Toowoomba GS 24 - 22.  The only game the first team lost was to Riverview in Sydney where they lost 24 - 12.  Joe Ansbro had the distinction of scoring in every match on tour for the 1st XV.

Colet Court - Colet Court School took their U12 side away to Australia this July. Against some tough opposition the Colet Court boys came away with two wins out of three games in Melbourne and Sydney and went onto other close games on the Gold Coast and in Cairns. The staff also had a full itinerary for the group and packed in some activity on most days including the Phillip Island and the Penguin Parade, Australian Reptile Park, Wet N Wild Theme Park and Kuranda Rainforest tour. I am sure the boys came back exhausted!

Crossley Heath School took their 1st team to Australia. The team won both of their first two games in Perth and the Gold Coast and continued onto Sydney and Cairns with great hopes of coming away with a full pack of wins! As well as good rugby the team enjoyed plenty of sightseeing including Green Island on the Great Barrier Reef, watching a local NRL game between the Bulldogs and Panthers and the great sights of Sydney Harbour.
