Mission impossible for Fiji?

Fiji will need to beat Samoa by at least 36 points to win the Pacific Tri-Nations. It looks highly unlikely.

In the first round of matches in Apia Samoa won 36-10.

Disciplinary problems beset Fiji. Earlier, when they went on their journey to the other island sides, Rupeni Caucaunibuca dropped out because he wanted his wife, who had a toothache, to accompany him. Caucau's place was taken by Maikeli Nadridri who has in turn been dropped "for disciplinary reasons".

Uncapped Kameli Ratuvou takes Nadridri's place. Maleli Kunavore come sin at outside centre, also making his debut.

Scrumhalf Mosese Rauluni is back from honeymoon to captain the side at scrumhalf.
