England tour hit with injury crisis

Abbott and Stevens to miss Wallaby clash

England are facing an injury crisis ahead of Saturday's eagerly anticipated 2003 Rugby World Cup Final rematch against Australia in Brisbane.

Centre Stuart Abbott (shoulder) and prop Matt Stevens (knee ligaments) are both already out of contention, whilst flanker Richard Hill (ankle), centre Mike Tindall (hip) and prop Trevor Woodman (shoulder) are all rated as having less than a 50 percent chance of playing.

Props Mike Worsley and Will Green have been summoned to join the England camp as a result of the growing injury list.

Worsley and Green were in Canada with the England XV who lost the Churchill Cup final 26-19 to the New Zealand Maori on Saturday, and will join up with the senior squad in Australia on Monday.
